Our Topics at DIGICON 2019

Our world constantly changes. In addition to megatrends such as urbanization and globalization, digitalization also permeates all areas of our lives. Companies must face up to this change and see digital transformation as an opportunity. Clear strategies, new competencies and innovative technologies are required. Only in this way is it possible to respond to the new demands of customers. But it requires courage to think differently and to embrace change. New digital technologies present users with great challenges, but also open up diverse growth opportunities: companies respond more individually to customers, reaction times are shortened. Autonomous systems and the use of independent algorithms in combination with machine intelligence are revolutionizing work processes, products and services. Face up to this change and learn today how to shape the future!

✓ AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS

An autonomous system is a program or machine capable of solving problems independently and without the supervision of a human supervisor. Questions of security and legal consequences play a central role here alongside the technical implementation. In addition, DIGICON also deals with the integration of such new technologies into today’s business environment in order to give an outlook on tomorrow’s work.

✓ MACHINE LEARNING

Machine Learning is a basic component of artificial intelligence and enables the use of algorithms that have not been explicitly programmed. Instead, statistical and data mining methods are used, which make it possible to learn from information. Especially due to groundbreaking developments in the field of deep learning and the use of neural networks, both complex and intelligent applications such as autonomous driving are now within reach for the first time.

✓ REINFORCEMENT LEARNING

The vision of Reinforcement Learning is the creation of autonomous systems that independently learn to cope with challenging tasks in different areas, for example in the context of Industry 4.0.

✓ QUANTUM COMPUTING

Quantum Computing is a completely new approach to calculating results. Effects of quantum mechanics are used to solve certain classes of problems much more efficiently and quickly than with classical computers. Especially the combination of computing-intensive applications of machine learning with the innovative approaches of quantum computing is a relevant and innovative topic in science, which promises undreamt-of potentials in future applications.
