The automotive industry is experiencing the biggest innovation cycle since the invention of the automobile itself.
Today’s topics include Digitisation, Connectivity, Advanced Driver Assistant Systems (ADAS), Steer-by-Wire/Brake-by-Wire, Drive by Electrics, Fuel Cell and Hybrid Drive as well as – on a broader level – Mobility and Sharing. These areas of innovation require an ever-increasing amount of IT infrastructure not only in the vehicle, but also in the back-end. While vehicle infrastructure is often referred to as „at the cutting edge“, which has to be connected, reliable, and available; Datacentre infrastructure is at the opposite end of the spectrum and needs to be able to provide for as much flexibility as possible. Alternatively, public cloud services could be used as extended workload infrastructure. New technologies will give automotive customers extremely flexible IT infrastructures inside and outside the vehicles. This seminar will take a closer look at new technologies in the automotive market, and will explore how to be successful in this demanding market. Alongside this, there is an increasing number of legal implications around data privacy and data protection, due to the generated data being shared throughout the economy and across borders.
