It enabled companies to present their innovations to a high-class audience, to convince them, and to come out as the winner of the 2019 award. There were several possibilities of how to participate: Either with an application to the Pitch Battle for the 4th Munich Digital Innovation Award, or for the special prize The Digital Picture. Nominated companies in the two categories KMU /start-ups and large companies participated in the DIGICON Pitch Battle for the 4th  Munich Digital Innovation Award. The award was given to the most innovative of the participants, regardless of whether it was a young start-up, an established medium-sized company, or an international corporation.
